Outstanding design and smart features make this a class. The 8.25" can still cut through a 2x4 at 45* (1.75" cut depth at 45*).ġ0" is not going away (DW745 is the old version and not sold any longer), they just had to redesign the table (DWE7491) as the clearance from the front of the table to the blade didn't meet new safety requirements. And a table saw that is abundantly up to the task is DeWalts DW744 10 inch job site table saw. So far I haven't done anything that would need a dado blade. It'd be nice, but I also have a router and could use that. I went through this same decision a while back, I ended up with the 8.25" because it was on sale ($300) and half the price of the 10", and I didn't have an overwhelming need for a dado blade. If you're choosing, a miter saw and a circular saw are a better choice than a table saw. Table saw is absolutely not a replacement for a miter saw. Stainless-steel miter detent plate of 12-inch miter saw blade comes with 14 positive stops The mitre saw features the precise miter system and machined base fence support Tall sliding fence of DEWALT miter saw supports 5-1/2-inch base vertically Bevels 0 degree - 48degree to the left and 0 degree- 3degree to the right. The 10" can run dado blades, the 8.25" cannot. The 10" has a 32" fence clearance, the 8.25" has a 24" fence clearance. Dewalt still has a portable 10" and 8.25" table saw.
